Where Can I Go For Support?
If you are having problems or feel you are struggling to cope, as a start you can:
- Talk to someone you trust
- Let family or friends know what’s going on for you. They may be able to offer you some support
If you find it difficult to talk to someone you know, you can:
- Call your GP and ask for an emergency appointment - It might also help to request a double appointment to have more time for a good conversation
- Call 111 out of hours - They will help you find the support and help you need.
If you don’t feel that you can keep yourself safe, you are thinking about hurting yourself or feel like you want to die, it is important to tell someone now. If you live in Northumberland, you can contact:
- Northumberland Crisis Team on 0303 1231146
- You can also contact Samaritans on 116 123
- You can also visit your nearest A&E department
There are many organisations that can offer their own specialist help and support. Some of these are:
The Samaritans
The Samaritans provide a 24 hours a day, 365 days a year service offering a safe place for people to talk. This service is free and the quickest way to contact them is by phone on 116 123 or you can email Jo@samaritans.org
