Today is World Smile Day. This event was created by Harvey Ball and has been occurring on the first Friday of every October since 1999.
Harvey thought that we, all of us, should devote one day each year to smiles and kind acts throughout the world. The smiley face knows no politics, no geography and no religion; for at least one day each year, neither should we.
The theme for WSD is to "Do an act of kindness. Help one person smile." Even if you help one person smile, the world will feel better; especially when millions like you also take the challenge.
