We are pleased to announce that we are part of the exciting new Solid Foundations programme!
Solid Foundations is delivered by a not-for-profit partnership of six voluntary community organisations and is in partnership with, and funded by, North of Tyne Combined Authority (NTCA).
The partners are:

- Community Action Northumberland
- Cygnus Support (That's us!)
- Northern Learning Trust
- NCVA Northumberland Community & Voluntary Action
The Solid Foundations programme will provide one-to-one support to help economically inactive people in Northumberland overcome barriers to work, such as lack of basic skills or health problems. Our support covers the whole of Northumberland.
Here at Cygnus Support, we will be providing the counselling and coaching support elements for beneficiaries as part of a holistic joined up offer. This project will be targeting people who are more distanced from the labour market – and our counselling offer will be able to provide 8-15 sessions per client dependent on need, as well as counselling/coaching transition support once beneficiaries have moved on to positive outcomes such as employment, training, volunteering, etc.
