Today marks the start of Sexual Health Week. This campaign aims remind people of the importance of looking after all aspects of their sexual wellbeing with a positive attitude to accessing services. The idea is to remind people how to protect themselves from HIV, STIs and unwanted pregnancy. The campaign has a theme of Breaking Barriers.
That is why for Sexual Health week 2022, we aim to amplify the voices of those who face access barriers and shine a light on the important work that sexual health services and public health are doing to address health inequalities.
As part of Sexual Health Week, various courses will be delivered by Northumberland County Council.
There are still places available on the Introduction to Sexual Health course that will take place on the 29th September from 9:30-12:30. This training includes an overview of STI’s & HIV/AIDS, a contraception update, Sex and the Law, Consent, UK competency guidance and EHC. Please note that this training must be completed prior to attending C-Card training.

Finally, in order to be eligible to attend any free courses you must either live or work in Northumberland.
