Sexual Health Awareness Week 2022

12 September 2022
Today marks the start of Sexual Health Week. This campaign aims remind people of the importance of looking after all aspects of their sexual wellbeing with a positive attitude to accessing services. The idea is to remind people how to protect themselves from HIV, STIs and unwanted pregnancy. The campaign has a theme of Breaking Barriers.
Everyone should be able to access sexual health and wellbeing services in ways that best suit them. The reality is that too many people face barriers when it comes to finding evidence based, inclusive and no judgemental support.
That is why for Sexual Health week 2022, we aim to amplify the voices of those who face access barriers and shine a light on the important work that sexual health services and public health are doing to address health inequalities.
