Mental Health Awareness Week 2022

10 May 2022
This week is Mental Health Awareness Week. The event this week is hosted by the Mental Health Foundation and aims to tackle loneliness.

Loneliness is an important issue as one in four adults say they feel lonely some or all of the time. There’s no single cause and there’s no one solution; everyone is different and as a result may have different experiences. This means that some people may feel more lonely than others at times. This is a problem as the longer somebody feels lonely, the more they are at risk of mental health problems.

The Mental Health Foundation aim to raise awareness of the impact of loneliness on a persons mental health and the practical steps that can taken to address it.

Visit their website for more information and don't forget to keep your eyes out for more posts on our Facebook page throughout the week.
