Today is the International Day of Happiness; an event established by the United Nations in 2012 as a way to recognise the importance of happiness in the lives of people around the world.
The United Nations invites people of all ages to join in celebrating the International Day of Happiness. This year’s theme is:
‘Be Mindful. Be Grateful. Be Kind'.
We can't always control what is happening in the world, but we can control how we might respond to it. By tuning in to your feelings, looking for what’s good and sharing kindness you can nurture yourself and help make things better day by day.
For more information, some example activities you can do, and for a list of events that you may be able to attend, please visit the International Day of Happiness Website.
